Jacob's Ladder Booklets

The Francis Small Heritage Trust has created a short brochure in the form of a Jacob's Ladder folding booklet.   In a Jacob's Ladder booklet, the pages do not open like a normal book.   Instead, the pages are folded backwards and the book is opened at the binding.   The booklet acts very similar to the "Jacob's Ladder" wooden block toys.

Shown below are the pages of the booklet.   If you would like a free booklet, please contact the Trust and we will send one to you by mail.

At this point, the booklet opens like a normal book and reveals the following pages:

Now, instead of turning the pages like a normal book, the booklet must be folded completely backwards which will enable it to be opened at the "binding".   Once this is done, the following pages are revealed:

flora, fauna, and wild
areas await the curious

Please fold back again and
then open at the center
to reveal the final pages.

Finally, the booklet can be folded completely backwards one more time which will again enable it to be opened at the new "binding".   At this time, the final pages are revealed:

You can find woodland brooks,
beaver dams, animal tracks, and
hidden gorges on more than

available at the trailhead

To restore the booklet, the folding is just reversed.
