![]() The moon shines above the Heath The Trust is very grateful to Tom and Edie Sisson for the generous donation of a public access easement on 188 acres of land in Limerick and Cornish near Route 5. The Heath (pronounced "Haith") contains a beautiful wetland and at least seven rare plant species. The Davis Conservation Foundation, the Fields Pond Foundation, and the William P. Wharton Trust granted funds for surveying, stewardship, and legal costs. In addition, a neighboring landowner has granted permission for a foot trail on his property so that a trail can be constructed completely around the wetland. The conservation deed was finalized in September of 2011 and currently the Trust is preparing this property for public use by installing signage and a walking trail. Please check back soon for further details. Please let us know if you would like to volunteer to help.
